The Wanted - I found you (Listen Here)
The troublesome boyband are back and with a hit. After touring through out the US recently five-sum released another hit single able to be played throughout radio stations and although it its extremely different to the, now 3x platinum selling in the USA alone, ‘Glad You Came’ track this single definitely does not disappoint. I found you has you getting out of your set and dancing around your room singing horrible to their incredibly high voices in the chorus. However it’s Nathan Sykes that has the girls buzzing, his very own solo is one that makes you stop whatever you’re going and simply just listen. Evolving their sound in the perfect way The Wanted have get again pleased the ears of many people world wide making you wish that it was you they’d found. Though there’s much speculation as to when the single will be available to download on itunes it is said to hit our itunes libraries by OCT/NOV however I highly suggest you get out their and pre-order it, it’s one purchase you surely will not regret. Not only that if you have time feel free to you tube the live versions of this track, absolutely amazing. This track is set to be one of my favorites of this year. Well done boys, amazing yet again.
Little Mix - Wings (Listen Here)
The four piece X Factor formed group made their debut with their winner single, a cover of Damien Rice’s, ‘Cannonball’, leaving all of their fans anxiously awaiting the release of their very own single. The four piece took The X Factor UK by storm in 2011 being the first ever group in the world to win The X Factor. With high expectations Little Mix’s single ‘Wings’ doesn’t disappoint. Showcasing all four of the girls beautiful voices the upbeat inspirational track has drawn in radios from all across the world reaching the likes of New Zealand and Australia as the girls ‘litte mixers’ fight the radio stations with requests. This song is perfect and one of those songs that brightens up your day when you hear it. It leaves much more hype in anticipation for the girls debut album release of ‘DNA’. These girls are ones to watch for being named as “The new spice girls”. Well done Tulisa, this is a case of mentoring gone very very right.
This audition made me almost cry and also made me speechless. I half expected another Bradley Johnson but no I got so much more. From the moment James Arthurs audition started I was captivated and judging by the audience and judges reactions I wasn’t the only one. By no means had I expected that. We knew he would get through judging by the video tape at the beginning but I wasn’t expecting to have to get up and walk away before coming back and writing this. The promising star took it upon himself to do his very own twist on Tulisas number one hit single ‘Young’ and managed to make it his own. Barlow commented saying “If anyone dares touch what you do.. because it’s so good.” James was completely overwhelmed with the response from not only the judges but from the audience however after that perfect audition I’m not surprised. If there was one standing ovation well deserved it was that one.
Just like Tulisa, Lucy Spraggan had completely got me sold! The songwriter became overwhelmed with the support of the audience as they gave her a stand ovation for her incredibly funny and catchy song. Agreeing completely with the judges that song had the potential to be Number One. The humble continued to be overwhelmed as the crowd chanted ‘we want more’ and the judges yelled ‘yes’ in unison. Everyone was completely surprised when that voice came out of her mouth as the twenty year old joked on stage about her job and the name of her no doubt hit song ‘Last night,’ with an Ed Sheeran mixed voice she was an instant hit and left everybody wanting more. My new favorite without a doubt.
Peter Pettigrew look-a-like Martin Eastwood took his hand at rapping and trying to pick up…Tulisa?
Zoe Alexander definitely made an impression when she took the stage for the X Factor UK auditions. The Pink tribute artists walked out wanting to shred the ‘image’ of her alter ego but didn’t impress the judges in the process. The wannabe star started off singing the artist who she intended to get rid of but failed poorly. No words can describe the deafening noise that came out of her mouth with the wrong song choice she left the judges grimacing in their seat. Tulisa, the first to comment, honestly stated that she liked her image but didn’t realize it was based off pink which didn’t go down well with the wanna be songstress who got quite angry. However Louis, being the lovely man he is let her have a second chance which went down potentially just as bad as the first attempt. After having two attempts and failing the judges tried to let her go but the persistent drama queen wouldn’t go accusing the judges of making her sing the Pink song before walking out and throwing the microphone in the process. Zoe then proceeded to cause quite a stir and her and her very angry father walked out and started abusing the judges which didn’t get either of them any further into the competition. I guess she wasn’t done with her five year old tantrum as she burst backstage in hysterics as she threw the backstage equipment around as as shocked Nicole commented ‘inappropriate’. I’d have to agree with Nicole on that one, throwing a tantrum didn’t get her a ticket to bootcamp and neither did her horrible attempt at an audition. Although entertaining I guess this proves as an example of what NOT to do at an audition don’t you agree?
X factor is back again this years auditions started off with a bang when sixteen year old Ella Henderson walked onto the stage. Inspired by her grandfather Ella took the stage with a song she wrote herself. So many times we hear these amazingly either inspiring or funny stories before they take to the stage only to be turned down my award winning cat screening tone, this was certainly NOT the case when Ella opened up and let that voice out. Bringing up tears from all the judges and leaving them sitting there in awe as the songwriter told them her story with a voice that sent shivers down my spine and I’m sure it did so with the audience. The tear worthy song hit a spot for everyone including the hard to impress judge Mel B who commented the amazing performance with “Your song writing is so clever it made me go into my own world and go ‘oh my god I felt like that at one point’ and that’s hard to do as a song writer”. However it was Tulisa who, along with the crowd, gave the over whelmed star a standing ovation. It was no shock that Ella earned herself four yes’ and Tulisa admitting her want to mentor that young star. I think anyone watching that performance sees what the the judges must have, a future star. Ella has what it takes and she’s already started off with a loud BANG.
